Orton-Gillingham Services
As an Orton Gillingham Practitioner, I offer 1:1 services and follow your child’s learning needs and goals.
Administer informal assessments to figure out academically where to start in the OG scope and sequence.
I conduct these assessments twice or more a year. This is a great tool to share with you as parents and their teachers.
We can better pinpoint and discuss skills that are masters and ones that he/she can benefit from with more practice.
We consistently will spiral back in the scope and sequence to work on long-term memory of mastery of skill sets.
Use a multi-sensory approach to best support one’s learning style.

It is important that the child become self-confident in their reading skills. As a goal for me, I want him or her to enjoy reading. The Orton-Gillingham approach is structured and supports various learning styles.
I myself struggled to read at an early age and found this approach most beneficial for understanding the relationships between letters, sounds, diagraphs, prefixes and suffixes, and words.
This multi-sensory approach is excellent with active learners, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.
I believe in this approach and have observed my students' success, both academically and personally, in building self-confidence.
